iPhone 4 Factory Unlocked

Hi everybody,

I got a question since everyone theses days talking about iPhone 4.

if I bought one say from Australia, Canada, England or any where else where they sell them factory unlocked at apple store.

And I have one ships to me in the US, Is it going to work here in the U.S. with different provider than att? such as T-mobile sim card or any company.

you have to get it unlocked, i do not believe they ahve factory unlocks with this phone

Its a nice thought, but I am not sure!

The iPhones which are called "factory unlocked" are unlocked when first connected to iTunes with an Internet connection. They are relocked when restored but will unlock again if you have an Internet connection. The iPhone 4 uses a microSIM card. You would have to cut a T-Mobile miniSIM card down to the microSIM card. They sell cutters to make the miniSIM card fit in a microSIM card holder. They also sell SIM card carriers which are perforated to allow either the miniSIM card or the microSIM card to be removed for use. You would have to check to see if they are in the U.S. T-Mobile version.

Be aware that you would not have 3G connectivity with T-Mobile in the United States because the iPhone does not have the AWS band used by T-Mobile for 3G service.

I did it with Sprint - and mine works fine - full 3G connectivity!!

What are you talking about? Sprint uses CDMA phones. You cannot use an iPhone with the Sprint network. Did you post in the wrong forum?
