Video game controller for iPhone

I play a lot of games on my old 3GS but I haven't come across a good controller for it, something to make it easier. I saw this:

Basically you gamepad stickers on top of touchscreen. I think the controller is too bulk and cumbersome.

This looks cool... but I would not go this far... Id rather buy a separate PSP or other game console if I need something this bulky
