I am a Droid 1 user trying to bring my MoM's iPhone up to speed getting her into using Google maps. It does not seem to have street name navigation capability.

She has never touched it to a PC so It was as purchased a version 2.0.1 something. I got it up to 4.2.1 (8C148). It a Model MB702LL. Firmware is 05.15.04.

Does the iPhone or this model have the capability of turn by turn announcing of street names.
