    Just my two cents, you may be able to unlock your iPhone successfully through software methods out there but this isn't safe and may lock the phone back again when you perform a firmware/software update. I have purchased a factory unlocked iPhone from timtechs and it doesn't have the same risk since the phone is factory unlocked to begin with.
