Ok, she was at work and the phone just went blank. No response when charger gets plugged in. It DOES cause the DC OUT panel to light up on our iPhone docking station but no display comes on the phone. Any brilliant ideas other than a trip to the Apple store? Can they do anything at the ATT STORE?

Re: My wife's iPhone 4s died. HELP!
If the phone's battery fully died then it will probably take a bit of charging before it will turn on again. If that doesn't work try holding down the power and home button for 15 seconds. If that doesn't work take it to an apple store.

Re: My wife's iPhone 4s died. HELP!
The iphone 4s battery dying issue seems to be a major bug issue.
Some report that a full recharge, full restore and back up to old settings will resolve the issue.
Some have reported no increase of battery life afer this restore.Last edited by camstuf; 10-26-2011 at 05:53 PM.

Re: My wife's iPhone 4s died. HELP!
Check if this is just a case of a battery drain issue. So you don't need to run to an apple store. A lot of people are complaining now about their battery life in the new iphone 4Gs but in my case, after a couple of full cycles of recharging it, the battery lasts longer compare to ip4.

Thanks all so far. Now that she resolved the battery issue the VOLUME is not working! Pushing the vol +/- buttons does nothing. Hard Reset does NOTHING! Ideas? Thanks!

Re: iphone 4s volume problem
iphone 4s volume problem, another major bug issue:
1. Siri may be the culprit.
2. Check the flip button on top of the volume up/down buttons
(make sure it is not set to slient mode)
3. Make sure sounds setting is not set on silent or airplane modeLast edited by camstuf; 10-26-2011 at 05:55 PM.

Have you tried DFU mode? The DFU mode will probably revive your iPhone.

Re: My wife's iPhone 4s died. HELP!
I had the same problem with a dead iPhone 4S. I called Apple tech support and they gave me a great tip. Hold down the power button on the top AND the round button on the bottom of the front of the phone (at the same time) for about 15 seconds. As soon as the Apple logo appears on the screen, let go. Hope this helps.
