Bluetooth Management
Enabling / Disabling Bluetooth:
- Slide your finger up from the bottom of the screen, in order to access the "Control Center"
- Tap the "Bluetooth" icon to enable or disable this feature
Pairing with a Bluetooth Device:
- While on the home screen, tap "Settings"
- Tap "Bluetooth"
- Enable Bluetooth if necessary
- After the automatic scanning process, tap the device that you wish to pair with
- If prompted, tap "Pair" to enter the device's PIN (by default it usually is "1234" or "0000") and then tap "OK"
- Accept the pairing on the other device
Wi-Fi Management:
Enabling / Disabling Wi-Fi Connectivity:
- From any of the screens, slide your finger up from the bottom of the display in order to open the "Control Center"
- Tap the "Wi-Fi" switch to enable or disable this feature
Scanning and Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network:
- Tap "Settings" while on the home screen
- Tap "Wi-Fi"
- If necessary, enable Wi-Fi by tapping the slider associated with it
- After the automatic scanning process is complete, scroll to and select the network that you wish to connect to
- If required to do so, enter the network's password and other security credentials
- Tap "Join"
Deleting a Wi-Fi Network Profile:
- While on the home screen, tap "Settings"
- Tap "Wi-Fi"
- Press the blue "i" icon located to the wright of the Wi-Fi network that you wish to delete
- Tap "Forget this Network"
Other Networking Settings
Selecting a Network Manually:
- From the home screen, tap "Settings"
- Tap "Carrier"
- Tap the slider associated with "Automatic" to disable it
- From the list, select the desired carrier
- Press the "home" button
Switching Between 2G / 4G / LTE:
- While on the home screen, tap "Settings"
- Tap "Cellular"
- Drag the slider associated with "Enable LTE" to enable or disable LTE connectivity
Enabling / Disabling Airplane Mode:
- From any screen, slide your finger up from the bottom of the screen to open the "Control Center"
- Tap the "Airplane Mode" icon to enable or disable this feature
Enabling / Disabling Data Roaming:
- Tap the "Settings" shortcut located on the home screen
- Tap "Cellular"
- Drag the slider associated with "Data Roaming" and set it to either "ON" or "OFF"
Enabling / Disabling GPS:
- While viewing the home screen, tap "Settings"
- Tap "Privacy" > "Location Services"
- Tap the slider associated with "Location Services" to enable or disable the GPS
Enabling / Disabling Emergency Alerts:
- Tap the "Settings" icon
- Tap "Notification Center"
- Scroll down to "Government Alerts"
- Tap the sliders associated with "AMBER Alerts" an "Emergency Alerts" to enable or disable these features
