Transfer Audio Files from a Mac / PC Using iTunes:

  1. Open iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to your computer using the Lightning cable
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone once connected. (If necessary you can click “View” > “Hide Sidebar”)
  4. Access the “Music” tab and turn on “Sync Music”
  5. Choose to sync “Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres” or “Entire music library”
  6. To sync voice memos and music videos, you can turn on “Include voice memos” and “Include music videos”
  7. Click “Apply” and wait for the sync to complete
  8. Once the sync is done, eject the phone storage via system tray (Windows OS) or by dragging the virtual drive from the desktop and into the “trash can” (on a Mac)
  9. You can now safely disconnect the phone from the Lightning port

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Tap “Sound” > “Ringtone”
  3. Scroll to, and select the ringtone you want to use
  4. Press “Home” to confirm the changes

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

  1. Tap “Phone” on the home screen
  2. Tap “Contacts”
  3. Select the contact whose ringtone you want to change
  4. Tap “Edit” > “Ringtone”
  5. Select the desired ringtone and tap “Done”

Change the Notification Sound for Incoming Email:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Tap “Sounds” > “New Mail”
  3. Change the “Vibration” and “Alert Tones” as you see fit
  4. Optionally, to disable Alert Tones, set the option to “None”

Manage Emergency Alerts:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “Notifications”
  3. Scroll down to, and tap “Government Alerts”
  4. Tap the slider associated with “AMBER Alerts” and “Emergency Alerts” to disable these features
