Unique issue happening in the NYC area and seems to happen when calling from a Cisco Call Manager. From certain area NYC area codes we receive "unknown caller" indication when dialing an AT&T Mobility cellphone. If we forward the call to a non-AT&T cellphone, the caller ID appears. Additional info:

If you dial to any AT&T Wireless phone
in the 917, 347, 646, etc from any area code it shows up as unknown.
However, it only seems to happen from a Cisco CM but AT&T Wireless
claims there are vendors experiencing this issue and blames lucent.

Placed calls from Washington DC, Dallas and San
Francisco to a NY AT&T Wireless phone also do not get the caller id
information. However, if you take that same NY phone and travel outside
of NY it seems to get the caller id information. If a NJ customer comes
to NY it still works just fine for them because I tested with my
    colleague yesterday.

    This is a strange one.

Re: Caller ID Issue with AT&T Mobility

We have the same issue in Wisconsin. Doing a pilot with CUCM 7 and when the Mobility function (we call it Single Number Reach (SNR)) rings an AT&T cell phone Caller ID shows up as "Unkown Caller". The odd thing is it is only happening on 2 out of 3 AT&T phones and works fine for a US Cellular phone.

    Anyone have any ideas?

In the Callmanager you have to change the calling number settings on the PRI. There are two settings, I think the first one is called calling number type and the other is calling number plan.

The calling number type should be set to ISDN and the plan to national. The default values for this is Cisco CallManager for both of them.

    Hope this helps!!1

Thanks for the suggestion. We have managed to figrue out the issue. We were passing a '1' in front of the 10-digit phone number when sending it out to ring cell phones. Our new AT&T PRI did not like that. Once we removed the '1' and just sent the 10-digit phone number Caller ID starting working on the AT&T phones. We had this same setup on our other AT&T PRI and it was fine with accepting the '1' . Obviously there are some differences between our two PRI's, yet they were ordered "exactly" the same.
