I would like to buy a feature phone because I have no use for a smart phone; however, I would like to use my phone as a modem for my laptop once or twice a month.
Has anyone been successful with tethering their feature phone to their laptop while using their current AT&T data plan?
If so, which phones can do this? I can either buy new from att.com or used.

If you want to be able to use your phone as as wireless router (modem, etc) you will need a smartphone. non-smartphones are not capable of this, and they would hammer you for abusing the TOS of dumbphone data plans, I would wager.
