so I went to Europe a few months back and I added a rate plan which allows me to make calls outside of the US. It was a good idea to add it until I realized they never took it off, when I came back to the US! They kept on charging me when I was back. when I added the plan the customer service person did not mention I had to contact them again but I had thought, since I gave him my traveling dates, that he would only put it on there for that specified time. he didn't. when I called to complain, I was furious and could not stop yelling at them. Incredible. Companies will trick you and not provide you enough information. so beware!

Re: AT&T roaming, Intl fees
If you could calmly call them, and ask to speak with the supervisor, they might be able to help you out. They'll be able to see that there was no usage after you came back. They should be able to refund you, but I'm not sure if they will. There was another member on the forum here that returned a phone to T-Mobile and they continued to charge them for the service. T-Mobile could see that there was no usage, so there was no reason to continue charging them for the plan. I'm hoping AT&T will refund you for the charges after you came back in the United States.
Please let us know what they say if you call again.

Re: AT&T roaming, Intl fees
The Standard International Roaming feature cost nothing to add to a line. One is only charged when making or receiving call in a foreign country. The AT&T World Connect features costs $5.99 and offers discounts on roaming rates in selected countries. All features added to an account remain there until removed. Features such as these can be added or removed through the online account management (OLAM) website or with an app on the phone depending upon the operating system.
