After 6 years, my old Nokia 3200 has finally died. I bought an Imate JasJam on Ebay, which is compatible with Telstra's NextG network.

I'm currently with Revolution's Prepaid service but the coverage isn't crash hot around my home suburb (due to being in between 2 Cell Towers). My parents have moved to the NextG network, and they no longer have any problems with the service around the home.

They want me to move over to the NextG network, and I'd like the coverage, but I feel that I'll be spending double for just the coverage benifit.

I have an ABN, so I've looked at Telstra's Mobile Select plans, which looks great on paper, until you read the fine print and realise you have to spend a minimum of $30 on a Landline with Telstra too. I don't really want to spend $30 a month on a landline I'm not going to use (We use Voip at Home, so the mobile is really all I need). My parents suggested I go on Telstra's prepaid service or basic $20/month plan, but with the price of the call rates, I might aswell shoot myself in the foot.

On RevTel I spend probably about $15 - $30 a month (Usually more on the $15 end), and that gets me through pretty darn well, and makes me feel like I've got a bit of a bargain.

I know telstra prepaid and plans come with fancy options like 1hr nominated time, and cheap text or cheap calls, but to be honest, I'm not really intrested. I don't want to have to wait until the right time to make calls, or decide one person who i always talk to, or make sure people are on the same network as me or any of that (Hence why I really liked RevTel).

The closest thing I could find to something I really like is Telstra's Business Mobile Plans, with the Any Mobile option (11c/30sec any mobile). However, even that's not thrillingly appealing, as there's no 12 Month contract, only 24, and I may or may not be moving overseas next year.

    So, what do you think?

Stick with revolution and grit and bear it with the phone coverage, or swap to Telstra and pay more? Any suggestions I havn't thought of?
