Can't get bluetooth to work

Hey everyone I just recently got my motorola v3t and I can't seem to get bluetooth to work. I've powered on the bluetooth but it can't detect any devices. All I got with my phone was a charger, car charger, ear phones and a usb cable thing. I've tried using the usb cable but it won't even detect it. Help me please. Do I need some sort of software on my computer for it to work?

I'm not sure what you mean by pairing. I'm trying to get it to work with my computer...

I've been told i need some kind of software or something for it to work? I didn't get a cd or anything like that with my phone.

Then you will need a USB dongle to pair your phone to your PC. it will come with a software CD.
