Tell me what your price range is and more features as well as whether you prefer flip phones, sliders, or bar shaped ones and I'll give you a better idea. I see you're on Cingular, so I'm guess you'd like to stay on it? give me more deets and I'll make a suggestion.

ummm well i personally like flip phones.. like the samsung a920 i fell in love with but.. then i started hearing some bad reviews... and i wasnt quite sure. for some reason.. the only real good ones that got good reviews.. taht well i could find were sliders.. and i find sliders annoying... to slide LOL >< ahah yeah im picky.. umm but i would perfer something that had more music capability cause like i said.. i lsiten to a lot of music ut isntead of wasting money on buying a good mp3 i figured id upgrade my phone too since its been quite a while ^^ figured id treat myself lol ummmm and a good camera too would be good.... i care more about.. how clear the picture comes out.. then the pixels as of how far i can take a picture lol if that.. makes sense.. but anyhoo i help that helps you cause i need help xP umm but yeah my price range.. doesnt.. matter that much, ill deal with the price after i find a good phone lol ^^

If you want music, then get your hands on a SLVR. It can only hold 100 songs, but it's something I guess. If you want to get an unlocked phone (a phone not sold by Cingular and does not have service), then you can get the RAZR V3i. It's not just the RAZR V3, it has an improved design and many of them have iTunes, but new ones are anywhere from $250-$350. As for the Sony Ericcson, it only does MP3s, so you wouldn't be able to put your music you've bought from iTunes on it. Plus, the music import with the SLVR is much better than manually dragging songs to the phone as done with the Sony Ericcson. So I'd say go with the SLVR if you have a lot of songs from iTunes and want seamless song import.

    Hope that helps.

EDIT: I completely forgot! The RAZR V3i with iTunes is coming to Cingular next month! So hold on! I'd get that! Flip phone + 1.23 Megapixel + iTunes = probably about $99-$149. I might get that.

a 100 songs for a phone would be wonderous for me.. except i dont really like how the RAZR V3i looks like.... ><;;; lol hahaha umm and yeah im not sure of the whole unlocked locked thing............ but ya wqhere would i buy the unlocked ones???.... on the internet?? and what... what should i say... advantage?? does it have that makes people choose unlocked ones over the locked ones?? and you said sony only does mp3.... you mean.. like not wma and etc? cause im pretty sure they had camera functions and etc.... umm anyhoo yah its okay, i dont dl stuff with itunes so yeah, i wouldnt worry about that

iTunes wouldn't be bad to start using, I prefer it to any other musiic purchasing system.

As for the unlocked and locked phones, there isn't much advantage. You can buy imported phones (such as the V3i, at the moment), for example, and stick in your SIM card (it's the card beneath the battery that tells the phone your carrier, phone number, etc.) into the unlocked phone. If you get an unlocked phone you will not have to sign a new contract but the price of the phone is definitely higher than a locked phone (a phone you get through Cingular or another carrier.)

The SLVR and V3i also do MP3's and the Sony Ericcson can definitely deal with photos as well as MPEG4. I'm not too sure about the WMA, but it probably can. I'm not sure how Sony Ericcsons transfer their songs, but the Moto's act like iPods -- you just hook them up to your computer and whip out iTunes.

Re: Please help me choose a phone...

Umm when do you need or want a new phone? Like every year, cell phone carriers mark down the cheapest phones and make a cheap bogus family plan with no minutes and stop selling the cheap phones in September and bring in the new phones. So if you have time, I'd wait until Cingular releases their new lines of phones.
