My father was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, and the whole family is in shock. What to do in such a situation I do not know. I think I should do a little research before giving any advice. Maybe you know good resources where I can learn more about the disease and treatment methods?

I feel for you friend, you know this disease is incurable, don't you? Read the medical website medical brands for information about it. The main thing is not to try to cure it, but to focus on relieving the symptoms.

Here are a couple of tips for caring for someone with Alzheimer's.
Minimize the intake of saturated fats found in dairy products, meat and certain oils (coconut and palm oil), as well as trans fats from snacks, fried foods and foods that say "partially hydrogenated oil" on their contents.
Replace meat and dairy products with plant foods - vegetables, legumes, fruit, and whole grain products - as staples in your daily diet.
The recommended daily intake of vitamin E is 15 mg, with foods such as seeds, nuts, green leafy vegetables and whole grains, but not supplements.
Vitamin B12 can be taken in supplements, and the daily allowance for adults is 2.4 micrograms. It is highly recommended that vitamin B12 levels be checked regularly through a standard blood test, as there are several factors that interfere with the absorption of the vitamin in the human body, and one of these factors is age.
When choosing vitamin complexes, make sure to give preference to those that do not contain copper and iron. You should consume iron supplements only if prescribed by your doctor.
The role of aluminum in the development of Alzheimer's disease is not yet fully understood, so minimize contact with aluminum utensils and the use of antacids, food loosener and other products containing aluminum.
Extend the youthfulness of your mind with regular exercise, especially aerobic exercise.
The scientists who published this list add adequate sleep, simple forms of cognitive training, and stress reduction.
