I love the Sprint phones...but if i cant get one i will just go with a Samsung thats available on Cingular.

No,
Cingular uses GSM and TDMA Networks. Sprint uses CDMA network. The down side is none of the phones will work on the others network. THe upside is that cingular now carrys samsung and is launching new phone from them every couple of months.

Even if cingular and sprint were on the same frequency band, the phones would be locked. so u'd have to use some black-market software to do it anyway.
the best way to tell GSM from the others is that it won't have a D for digital on the screen, because it's always in that. Also it has a SIM card of u take off the back and sometimes the battery.
Also a CDMA phone (like sprint or verizon) will usually have a pull-out antenna. why do u suppose that is......... lol

i dont like cingular phones...
couldnt there be a way to say i lost my phone and pay 50 bucks to get a new one, and just say i had a more expensive phone? or do they have they all down..like what phone i got
