I have just migrated from AT+T over to Cingular and I am unhappy with my new choice of phones. I used to use a very rigged and durable Panasonic TX-200 that was bullet proof, had a rubber exterior, and seemed to be made for construction, military, and industrial users. It had a monochrome screen(single color) that was easy to view indoors ans outdoors and long battery life. I was very happy with the phone but, not the plan and switched providers to get a family plan and two phones.
Does Cingular offer any phones the are rugged and durable? My old durable Panasonic phone can't be used on Cingular and those tuff iDEN phones can't be used on Cingular either.
Am I being to hard to please or do I have to consider changing providers again just to get the type of phone that I really want? Please tell me what options I have in this ever changing world of cell phones. I know that there are plenty of adults out there that just want a reliable phone and not a toy that also makes phone calls. Thanks....

    Thanks for the reply

After further review and countless calls to Motorola, Cingular, Nextel, and Verizon along with two long nights of internight hunting it looks like my only alternative for a rugged and durable phone for me will be moving to Nextel or moving to Verizon and using an old Panasonic Duramax TX-220 or b uying another such device from Ebay.
Thanks to the acute interneter's that wrote in response to my question of finding an industrial commercial grade phone there were only a couple of choices; going to Nextel or the T300P from Verizon. Thanks for the help...."C"
