Hello, recently ive had a problem where my cell phone has become wet.
It works fine except for the keys. Ill press the okay button to go to a certain menu and itll go to a completely different one. Same with the number keys. I press 1 then 1 and 4 show up on the screen. Same with 2 (2-5) and so on.

Well im pretty sure this isnt going to be able to be fixed so ill move on to my question. If i want to get a new cellphone whats the best way to do so? I dont know the exact method on doing so, besides the fact that buying directly through my cell phone provider is costly and i know that when i upgraded my phone they had me re-up my contract...which is ridiculous.

If anyone can provide me with some guidance id be very appreciative!

    Re: Cell Phone Problem

First of all, you need to realize something. When you got your new cell phone the price you paid was no where near what the phone actually cost. All cell companies offer very deep discounts, sometimes free, to get you to sign the agreement. And carriers want you to sign the contract. That is where they make the money.
So, to get the best deal on a phone, you can try looking on craigslist, or on EBay. Or sometimes there are stores locally that sell phones without contracts.
You will need to get an unlocked GSM phone, or a phone that has the same branding as the carrier (Cingular). And if it is unlocked you will need to make sure that it uses the 850/1900 mhz bands.
Other than that, it is pretty simple.
