When the HTC One max has been unveiled, we've learned that the gadget in question arrives with Android 4.3 out of the box, and a new version of HTC Sense. The Taiwanese manufacturer has also confirmed that these new software enhancements will will land on other devices sometime by the end of the year, in the form of an update, and that the HTC One is top priority.

It didn't take too long, and after a few leaks, rumors and reconfirmations, it now appears that the HTC One is receiving the Android 4.3 + Sense 5.5 software package. The update is currently landing on the One units in Europe, specifically on unlocked Nordic variants. Famous inside source and HTC ROM-maker @LlabTooFeR has also revealed that the new software version is being rolled-out over the air in Russia and the Eastern Europe.

The package weighs roughly 675 MB and bumps the firmware version up to 3.62.401.1. While Android 4.3 is a welcomed sight, the Sense 5.5 UI is definitely the highlight of this new update.

Sense 5.5 brings a handful of improvements to the user interface, and includes new features in the BlinkFeed home screen. With version 5.5, users will now be able to add more feeds from various social networks, including Google+, Twitter and YouTube. BlinkFeed will also allow you to save articles to read later or offline, and for those of you who find the feature to be a hindrance, fret not. Sense 5.5 includes an option to completely disable BlinkFeed.

In addition, the Gallery application has received its fair share of goodies as well, and it now offers new video highlight templates and options. The time limit for video highlights has also been removed, so you'll be able to create as long of a highlight as you wish. You can also add your own soundtracks to your videos.

Various improvements have also been implemented in the Music app, with the interface being updated and new scenes being added. Sense TV has also been slightly tweaked.

Assuming that you happen to own the HTC One, then don't hesitate to go into the settings menu under the software section, and check whether or not the Android 4.3 update is waiting for you. Keep in mind that the package is being released in stages, meaning that it could take a few weeks before every HTC One in Europe will receive the update. Good luck, and don't hesitate to leave a comment below in case you've already received the new software package.
