LG has enjoyed its fair share of time under the spotlight recently, thanks to the unveiling of the
LG G2 flagship, but the story does not end here and the manufacturer is obviously expected to pump-out more gadgets in the future.
As it turns out, the next interesting handset to come out of LG's factory gates next might be the rumored LG G Pro Lite Dual. As its name suggests, the handset will feature dual-SIM capabilities, and it's supposed to more of a "lite" spin-off on the
LG Optimus G Pro, rather than the G2 flagship. This means that the G Pro Lite Dual is not going to be a top-tier flagship phone, but a more affordable device.
Hardware-wise, sources claim that the handset in question will feature a 5.5 inch IPS display with a resolution of 540 x 960. If this is true, then this is quite disappointing, especially given the large footprint of the screen. Prepare to see some pixels
Furthermore, rumor has it that the device will feature a dual-core processor clocked at 1 GHz, and 1 GB of RAM. The on-board storage will be limited to 8 GB, but users will supposedly have the option of expanding via microSD. The gadget is going to arrive with Android 4.1.2 out of the box, but various features that are present on the LG G2 flagship are expected to be ported over to the G Pro Lite Dual. These features include Knock-On, Q Slide Guest Mode and more.
Additionally, rumor has it that the device will feature a stylus pen, effectively making it a budget-friendly alternative to the top-tier
Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
As for availability and pricing, sources claim that the LG G Pro Lite Dual will be launched sometime in mid-October, and that Russia will be among the markets where the handset will be released at first. The gadget is said to be accompanied by a price tag of roughly $400.
So there you have it everyone. If the rumors turn out to be correct, than the LG G Pro Lite Dual will turn up to be a budget-friendly stylus-equipped phablet, delivering underwhelming hardware specifications and hopefully a decent range of productivity tools. We'll see how that goes. Any thoughts?
