When it came to bringing their older smartphones up to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, Motorola has done a pretty good job lately but there is still a lot of work to be done, especially now that Jelly Bean is the new best thing in the world of Android. As a result the company has recently brought its device update page up to date and informed its customers about what to expect in the future when it comes to upcoming software upgrades.

That being said, the Motorola Atrix HD should receive Jelly Bean in the US by the end of December, whereas in Canada the update will hit the waves sometime in Q1 2013.

The Droid RAZR HD at Verizon has just been updated to Android 4.1, but once again those of you that happen to own the RAZR HD in Canada will have to wait until the first quarter of next year in order to benefit from Jelly Bean.

The list goes on and includes devices like the XOOM LTE, the RAZR i (which is the Intel-powered Motorola RAZR M) and the Electrify M, all of which are now set to receive Jelly Bean sometime in Q1 next year.

Motorola has also mentioned on their newly updated software upgrade page that if your device is currently running on Android 1.5 through Android 2.3 (Cupcake and Gingerbread) and it's missing from the list, that means your handset will not benefit from any Android operating system upgrades in the future.
