Almost every smartphone manufacturer out there has prepared a flagship device for year 2013, and as such, gadgets such as the Sony Xperia Z / ZL, HTC One and the LG Optimus G Pro have already been unveiled, whether they've made their debut at CES in January, or the Mobile World Congress in February.

Anyhow, there's one manufacturer that's missing from this entire picture, and that's Motorola. There have been quite a few rumors regarding the mysterious X Phone, boasting amazing and unprecedented hardware specs, but if the X exists then that's not the only Motorola gadget to be in the works.

Apparently, the manufacturer has worked on another high-end device, one that comes with Google's signature and boasts pretty impressive specs.

The handset in question got leaked via a Vietnamese website, where an early hands-on video has also been posted. The gadget bears the model number XT912A and the fellows over at Tinhte claim that this is not the X Phone, simply because the hardware specs don't seem to match with what we've learned so far about the X.

In any case, the XT912A arrives with a 4.65 inch display (or somewhere along those lines, give or take) a resolution of 720p and a pixel density of roughly 320 pixels per inch, a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor (or even something better, perhaps a Snapdragon 600?) 2 GB of RAM, an Adreno 320 Graphics Processing Unit and a 2,000 mAh battery.

One of the most interesting traits of this particular gadget seems to be the fact that it's being powered by nearly-stock Android 4.2 and as such, it includes some of those vanilla-Android bells and whistles, such as lock screen widgets and on-screen software keys.

As far as the design goes, the mysterious Motorola gadget seems to be made of plastic, it features very thin display bezels and according to Tinhte, the speaker holes aren't as precisely-made as those that can be found on the HTC One X or the Lumia 920.

Evidently we're not really sure when and where this Motorola handset will arrive, but something's definitely brewing and hopefully we'll see more of this handset in the near future. Yes, I know, all attention is now focused on the Motorola X Phone and as such, the XT912A might not seem too exciting, but it's definitely better than nothing.

Anyhow, check out the hands-on video below and share your opinion by leaving a comment below.
