Recently we've brought you news about Microsoft and Nokia's conjoined efforts on launching the
Windows Phone 7.8 update on the successful Nokia Lumia 900. On short, according to Microsoft the WP 7.8 update will bring some of the features found on the upcoming Windows Phone 8 OS to the
Nokia Lumia 900. At that time they haven't actually offered a lot of details regarding which features exactly will be part of the WP 7.8 update, but now they seem to become closer to the update's launch date and they've decided to launch a small demo video depicting one of the main features that we can expect from WP 7.8.
On short, the video shows how the Tiles on the Start screen will be resizable once the new OS version will arrive a feature which is evidently borrowed from Windows Phone 8. However, there's one small problem some people might complain about, and that is the inability to resize the Tiles like you would resize a widget. Contrary to how widgets work on Android, WP 7.8 will give you the option of choosing between three pre-set tile-sizes, but nothing more.
Other than that, Microsoft only revealed that WP 7.8 will come with lots of cool applications including Audible, Words with Friends and Draw Something.
They haven't revealed anything new concerning the timeslot in which the update should hit the waves, so we're still looking at the "coming weeks" timeframe. Check out the video below.
