The FCC has just approved a new Android smartphone by Sony, the Sony Xperia Sola. It's not known which carrier will get the newest Sony smartphone, but according to the 850 and 1900 MHz, it could possible be approved for AT&T as well as Canadian carriers such as, Bell, Telus or Rogers.
The Sony Xperia Sola is said to have a "floating touch technology", which means, that just by waving or hovering your fingers above the display, you can search the web.
Other features of the Sony Xperia Sola include: Android 2.3 Gingerbread (upgradeable to Android 4.0 ICS), a 3.7 inch Reality Display with 854 x 480 pixels, NFC, Wi-Fi, GPS, xLOUD and 3D
Surround sound, 512MB of RAM, dual-core 1GHz ST-Ericsson U8500 processor, 8GB of internal memory, and a 5MP rear camera with 720p video recording.
