Sony Launches The Xperia "S" Smartphone In India

Sony recently shook off the name of the Ericsson company by buying them out. Soon they will be just "Sony" and have some new smartphones to show for their purchase. One recent model is called the Sony Xperia S and is headed to the land of India. Some people are calling this smartphone an "iPhone killer". It sure has a super nice screen, that is for sure.

This smartphone goes by a few aliases. One is "Sony Ericsson Arc HD" and the other is "Sony Ericsson Xperia Nozomi". They are all referencing the same handset. The people at Sony are known for making high quality electronics and this smartphone looks like it also fits the bill. The features stick out like a sore thumb in some areas. The camera is high powered and so is the screen. The screen in particular is rather large and clear as well. The iPhone "retina display" has 326 pixels per inch ( PPI ) while the Sony Xperia S has 342 PPI. It may be possible to tell the difference in the higher clarity of the Sony over the Apple smartphone.
