If you've followed the mobile market during the past few months then you should already be somewhat familiar with the Sony Honami. This particular gadget is said to be the company's upcoming camera-centric phone. The Honami is targeted at competing with similar cameraphones such as the upcoming Nokia EOS (also known as the 909 or the 1080, as a final name has not been revealed yet), and also the Samsung Galaxy S4 zoom.

A pretty high number of Honami-related leaks have emerged during these past few weeks and we even had the opportunity to see real pictures with the device, allegedly. The handset has now reappeared on the Chinese website ePrice, in the form of a render. The render depicts the back panel of the device (and a bit of its side), and by the looks of it, the handset is similar to what we've already seen in previous similar leaked photos / renders.

The most interesting part is that ePrice has also provided a list of hardware features of the Honami. According to these reports, the gadget is said to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor running at 2.2 GHz, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage expandable via microSD. The gadget supposedly features a 5 inch display with full HD resolution (1080p), featuring Sony's Triluminos technology. The entire package is being powered by a 3,000 mAh battery.

Additionally, the source has also revealed that the Honami will take advantage of Sony G Lenses for its 20.7 Megapixel main camera, and it will also have a BIONZ image processing engine. Although the Honami is definitely a camera-centric smartphone, the gadget will measure only 8.3 mm in thickness. Contrary to the route taken by Nokia and Samsung, Sony's camera will have a smaller 1/2.3 sensor, resulting in a not-so-bulky design. Evidently, this might result in a lower picture quality when compared to what the competition's larger sensors will be capable of, but the Honami should still be more than able to overshadow ongoing non-cameraphones such as the SGS4 in the camera department.
