Can i play ps2 games which are downloaded from internet?

can i play Play Station 2 games which are downloaded from internet (from Mininova or Piratebay). i can not purchase a PS2 game in my town because there is no one who sells it.

yes u can play them if u put them on a cd in the right way, but you need to do something with your laser in your ps2 first

I know with the old PSX, you had to chip it to play ripped games but I thought this was more about cellphones? I've seem emulators on the market, it that what I would need to play PS2 games on my phone?

I am sure you can. You can download it but you need a software to play it on your PS3 I believe. Have fun.

Your need your PS2 to be modchiped. I had one done years ago cost me £60
you need to take it to someone who's a professional at modchiping consoles because its very risky.
Once its done you can download games from the net and burn them on to cd but guarenteed your PS2 will die after a few years, its happend to hundreds of people.

Also never use public trackers like TPB or mininova lol
