Hello all...Newbie here..and in need of some words of wisdom or insight.
I have and LOVE my Ericsson T39m(c). I have about all the goodies one can get for this phone and do not want to give her up.
Here is my dilema....
I have 3 x T39's....
-One has been sent to S/E to be reflashed with upgraded firmware yet it still cannot find a signal. I have spent hours on the phone with Sony to correct this to no avail. This phone looks like new and has the latest firmware, yet I get no signal? Any ideas
-Two looks OK...fires up ..but shuts down with in moments regardless of which battery I put in her..plus she is missing the slide button on the side...no biggy, but a tool I do use to cancel incoming calls and check battery life.
-Three is my only working phone...works great..but looks BAD...and is starting to fall apart.....

FYI..I have another faceplate for these phones..brand new ..but how do I get the faceplate off of these phones? Anyone know? or What I am really seeking is an independent cell shop that can either fix the first...(S/E wants 100USD upfront before they look at it..I have already spent 90 with them to get a nonworking phone back...They are not sympathetic to my cause...OF COURSE they want me to buy a NEW S/E phone..
IF the first cannot be fixed, then just swap faces or tell me how to do so.

Sorry my first post is kinda long...Had a lot to get across regarding my situation...
