hi, i'm a noob. someone using a blocked ID has been calling my cell phone late at night purely to harass me. she calls (i think it's a she), hangs up, calls, hangs up, calls, and hangs up. if i don't answer, she'll just call, call, and call again.

because i've had this problem before (resulting in having to get my number changed), i'm really hoping there's something i can do to restrict these calls from coming in. it's truly unbelievable that people can do this sort of thing to you and there's nothing you can do except turn off your phone. please don't suggest that i just set the phone to silent or something of the sort. that's an obvious solution and i wouldn't have posted here if i'd thought it was a good one.

i don't know if this information is needed, but i have a samsung cell phone (i want to say sph660) and the carrier is sprint. thanks for any info you can give me.

yeah, after sifting through countless webpages and talking to customer service... i didn't really believe there was a way for me to circumvent blocked id. but if you come up with any new solutions, let me know!

gee motochica, i really didn't think of that. you are so clever. because as it turned out, they were calling because they had no idea i didn't want to receive hang-up calls at one in the morning, so of course telling them not to call just worked wonders.

zakell, i wish i could have done something like that! i thought of picking up the phone and blasting the radio in their ear, but the fact that they'd hang up as soon as i picked up made that not an option for me.

as it turns out, the calls have pretty much stopped this past week, so i guess it's not a problem anymore. if it starts again, then i'll do what wisetool suggested and call the police. because it really gets annoying when it happens. thanks so much!

    Re: blocking anonymous calls?

Hi let me join the club.
Seems like there is no way to protect yourself Today after receiving roughly 50 private calls in one hour I went to the police they CAN'T TRACE IT EITHER! I hate t-mobile for not wanting to block those calls and I'm not changing the number (I did that already) this time I'm gonna change the company. Soooo just hope that the psycho that does this will get bored.
