Hello, I am in a process of moving to a new home when I realized that I could not get any service for my cell phone. I tried turning on the roam feature but I cannot pick up anything in or outside the house. I drove about a mile and a half away from the house and I picked up a signal. Are there any poducts out there that you can install at home to help you boost signals from your service providers to help your cellphone? Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

What kind of phone is it? There are products available, but they may or may not make a difference depending on what kind of phone it is...

geography CAN block cellphone signal... you have to have some hope of getting a signal before you can do much else.... have you tried upstairs windows and the like (ummm the roof?)?

jeanie is correct, the Wilson amplifiers work GREAT !

I use one in my own home due to poor signal penetration, and now I get full bars, where I used to get 0.

Thats good that you get good penetration Abom ...

We have the same problem so we are getting the amplifier dealio. My buddy installed one in his house and, like everyone else, receptioin went from zero to hero.

Depending on the contract that you signed, plugging your phone into any sort of external antenna or amplifier could break the contract. I'm not saying don't use them, I'm saying don't tell your carrier that you're using one.

the Wilson page offers a product that doesn't require you to plug in - and the DA4000SBR (which I covet) makes a large home or small office building into a 'hotspot' of sorts

My question has always been... I live in an area of "reflected signal" I get 2 boars of unusable signal in my house... once my sis-in-law's phone rang here, then cut off after a few words and was unable to reconnect... I would hate to install the equipment only to find I have 4 bars of unusable signal ....
