My phone that I had just broke but I plan on buying the same phone and just putting my sim card in it. The phone want to buy is listed GoPhone though and the SIM card that I have was originally in a phone with a plan on it. So does it matter if I put my SIM card from a phone with a plan into a GoPhone?

Nope. A SIM is a SIM. Just grab that cheepo Gophone and slap that sim in. But check this out! Some gophones come with some money on them. Like 15-50.00. They are called gophone AT bundles. Put your sim into one of those and your contract acct with get the bundle.
