Hi,
I have a buddy who travels a lot to Shenzhen (China), he suggested that I put together a wish list, as it is easy to get a custom-made phone there. Same idea as the zzzphone, without the mark-up, and hopefully with a radio stack that works in the USA.
I really do not know anything about cellphone tech details, so I have copied the zzzphone spec list as a starting point.
I hope that the experts here can help me by adding or changing details, especially with the processor, GSM frequencies and Networking and Radio Connections.
Platform: Marvell PXA270 Processor + NXP Dragonfly SS6120

Networking and Radio Connections: GSM/GPRS/EDGE/3G
Dual SIM
Operating System: Windows Mobile CE 6.0
Input Methods: Touchscreen and Full QWERTY Keyboard
GPS: Class 10 GPS Receiver

Memory Card: Micro SD up to 8 GB
Camera: 2M CMOS with Auto Micro ( 7mpxl) - front and back
Bluetooth: Bluetooth 2.0 w/ A2DP
Wifi: 802.11b/g

Radio: FM Radio Antenna
Connection Jacks: Audio, head set, USB, USB Charger

Re: help list specs for custom dream phone
I'd add a flash. And if this is for real, where can I get one?

Re: help list specs for custom dream phone
The questions is genuine.
My friend recently started going to Shenzhen (China) for business trips, he told me that there is a whole street with vendors affiliated with manufacturers, who can make phones to order.
I have no idea what the quality is, but am willing to take a gamble.
My only problem is that I have no idea what to ask for in a cellphone, so I am trying to get as much feedback on what would be the 'perfect smartphone', and then I will have to see if these Shenzhen manufacturers can actually put it together.

You might want to see if you could have integrated TV... that'd be a nice addition to a phone that appears as though it's going to have everything else . A touch screen would be a nice edge too... and maybe a built in Flash player ? No harm in trying I suppose - sure it may not work very well, but at least you can knock that paper weight off of your Xmas list .

Yes, add flash to the camera.
Also I heard that palm OS is more stable than windows.

Re: help list specs for custom dream phone
im not sure how long the listed batteries would last however my general gripe with phones is that they have to be recharged too often. wih music and tv and all the multimedia features, they would be a drain on it. this would need to be addresse for an ultimate phone of any sort.
