Ok so here is the deal, Right now I have Virgin Mobile. I own a Rumor 2 and their service is pretty good. But I will they would begin selling some smart phones or some less boring phones, so I've been looking around for other prepaid phones. I've always wanted a touch screen phone like the LG Xenon or Samsung Caliber. But I was looking at some Blackberry type phones too, but on Boost Mobile it is 60 a month for Blackberries. And to me, that's sort of expensive. So in your opinion what is the best pre-paid service with some what less boring phones then virgin mobile such as touch screen, etc. I wouldn't talk much, but mostly text so i would want a good texting phone with unlimited texting, but not unlimited talking or web. and also what phones you like from the company you picked. I just pay 20 a month for unlimited texting right now for virgin mobile and thats all. Also in other companies, is email part of unlimited messaging? i know it is for virgin mobile, but i dont know for like Boost mobile. I think that's all i can think of. if you can't answer all the questions feel free to just answer one of them

Re: best prepaid service
when I went to their website and searched for phones on the site. All I saw was about 7 phones or so, and non of them were that good. How did you get a HTC Ozone to work with that company? and I would just use the standard plan with unlimited texting. and can you port your old number?

Re: best prepaid service
Have you looked at Straight Talk? They offer the Samsung R810C touch screen phone. Thirty bones a month gets you 1000 minute of voice, 1000 texts, and 30 MB of data throughput. $45 gets you unlimited. They're a Wal-Mart/TracFone partnership, so they use the same towers as TracFone. Verizon, IIRC.
I almost went that route when I was shopping around a couple of months ago. The deal-breaker for me was that they don't have/allow coverage in Canada. I'm taking the bike up there this year, and need reliable coverage.
