So I've had an LG Dare since I started my contract in '09. It used to hold charge well. It started losing charge so I bought what was called an OEM battery on Amazon for cheap, <$10, it didn't work well either. So I bought another [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Standard-Li-lon-Battery-VX9700-VX9600/dp/B002EB5V6G/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&s=wireless&qid=1283707507&sr=8-11"]cheap battery on Amazon[/VIDEO], it seemed to work OK for a short time, but not much better I don't believe. I assume it's just a relabeled version of the other I bought.
So are these just old batteries that do not perform, and are sold as new? Is that why they are cheap?
What makes a phone stop holding charge, I assume the phone itself Cannot do this right?

    So breakdown and pay $40?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

I know I can plug it in and keep it charged, plus now I have 3 crappy batteries I can keep charged, but I want it to work and hold as it should until my contract is up in May.

from experience, I also don't have good things to say about cheap batteries as I have had the same issue as yours. It would be best if you can invest on good quality batteries, it definitely last longer
