I'm only 2 miles from the tower - and 7,000 60 foot ponderosa pine trees and a slight hill. Right now I have a Blackberry Flip 8220. If I go to the west end of the house hold it in my left hand, put my right thumb in my ear.... I get [.i] and sometimes just [.] The carrier is ATT. All of the past posts seem to be at least a year old.

So: In 2011, what GSM sim phone has the best reception? And I just want the phone in case of a power outage and the DSL goes out.
