With the amount of applications at our disposal, transferring contacts from an iPhone to an Android-powered smartphone has never been easier. If you happen to own an Acer Liquid Z3 and you wish to transfer contacts from an iPhone, then you'll find 4 easy methods of doing so below.

Using iTunes to Transfer iPhone Contacts:

iTunes can be used to sync the contacts from an iPhone to your Google account. This allows you to share contacts as well as their name, contact picture and any other additional information. For this method, you need a computer with iTunes installed.

    1. Open iTunes on your PC
    2. Use the proprietary USB cable to connect your iPhone to your computer
    3. Once connected, your iPhone will appear in iTunes
    4. Click your device in order to view the summary page, and click the "Info" tab
    5. Mark the check box associated with "Sync Contacts With"
    6. From the drop-down menu, select "Google Contacts"
    7. Enter your Google account's login details if you haven't done so before. Otherwise, you can click "Configure" and select a previously added Google account
    8. Click "Apply". This will make iTunes sync your iPhone contacts
    9. Now, on your Acer Liquid Z3, add the same Google account used in iTunes. (If you need to add the account, go to "Settings" > "Accounts"
    10. Lastly, allow the account to sync contacts with your Liquid Z3

Using iCloud to Transfer iPhone Contacts:

Assuming that you've used iCloud on your iPhone before, then your contacts might've already been backed up onto your iCloud account. You can easily export these contacts to your Android device by doing the following:

    1. On your computer's Internet browser, visit www.icloud.com
    2. Log in with your iCloud account
    3. Click "Contacts" to view the contact list
    4. Select the contacts that you want to export
    5. Click the icon depicting a cog wheel (located in the lower-left side) and select "Export vCard"
    6. A VCF file containing the contacts will now be downloaded on your computer
    7. Import the VCF file to "Google Contacts". Alternatively, you can establish a connection between your computer and your Liquid Z3 via USB and copy the VCF file to your phone's "sdcard" directory. Then, you can open the "People" app, go to the "People" tab, tap the "Menu" icon and follow any additional self-explanatory steps in order to import the contacts from the VCF file

Using the "My Contacts Backup" Application:

"My Contacts Backup" is an iOS application that enables you to backup your iPhone contacts into a VCF file that can be sent via email. To use this method, you don't need access to a computer.

    1. Use your iPhone to visit the App Store and download "My Contacts Backup"
    2. Open the application
    3. Tap "Backup" and allow the app to backup your iPhone contacts
    4. Tap "Email" to attach the resulted VCF file to a new email
    5. Use your own Gmail address as the recipient for the email, and send it
    6. Switch over to the Acer Liquid Z3 and open the email
    7. Download the VCF file in order to import the contacts

    Using the "Bump" Application:

"Bump" is an iOS and Android application with the help of which you can transfer contacts from one phone to the other via cloud. While you don't need access to a PC in order to perform these steps, you do need an active Internet connection on both smartphones.

    1. Install "Bump" on your iPhone from the App Store
    2. Visit the "Play Store" on your Liquid Z3 and download the same application
    3. On the iPhone, go to the contacts section and select the contacts that you wish to export
    4. When the "Bump now!" message appears in the top-right corner of the screen, gently bump the two devices together
    5. If done correctly, a "Connect" button will appear on the screen of both devices. Tap it, and a copy of your iPhone contacts will be sent over to your Android device
