Using iTunes:

NOTE: In case you have iTunes installed on a computer connected to the Internet, you can use the application to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can easily sync the account data with the Asus ZenFone 2E.

  1. Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes and click the iPhone
  3. From the summary page, access the “Info” tab
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Log in with your Google account. Alternatively, you can click “Configure” and select an existing account if applicable
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. Once done, register the same Google account on the Asus ZenFone 2E and allow it to sync contacts with your phone

Using iCloud:

NOTE: In case you’ve used the iCloud backup service on your iPhone before, your contacts should already be backed up on your iCloud account. By signing in to your account on a computer with Internet access, you can export the contacts as a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on your computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Click “Contacts”
  4. Choose the contacts to share and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  5. After the vCard is downloaded on the computer, import it to “Google Contacts” or alternatively skip this step and instead:
  6. Connect the Asus ZenFone to your computer via USB, open “Contacts”, and use the “Import / Export” option from the app’s menu to import the vCard file’s contents

Via “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: While the two methods above require access to a computer with an active Internet connection, alternatively you can also use third party apps for contact transfer. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and transfer contacts via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on your iPhone
  2. Launch the application
  3. Tap “Backup”. This will create a backup file containing your contacts
  4. Tap “Email” to start a new email containing the vCard backup file as an attachment
  5. Send the email to your address
  6. On the Asus ZenFone 2E, open the email and download the attached vCard file
  7. Import the vCard file’s contents using the “Contacts” app and the “Import” function

Via “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use for contact transfer is “Send Anywhere”, available on both iOS and Android. It uses a P2P connection to transfer contacts, even cross-platform, without the need of a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on your iPhone
  2. Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the ZenFone 2E
  3. Launch the application on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Choose a transfer method. You can tap “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone and scan the code with the Asus phone’s camera, or tap “Receive” on the Asus and enter the transfer code randomly generated on the iPhone
