Clear App Cache and / or Data:
NOTE: If one of your apps doesnt work properly, you might be able to fix the issue by clearing the applications cache and / or data.
WARNING! Unlike when clearing the cache, clearing an apps data will also remove all your personal information stored within the application, including saved games, login and credit card information, profiles, high scores etc. As such you should first try clearing the cache.
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open Settings
- Scroll to Device and tap Apps
- Go to Downloaded or All
- Select the desired app and tap Clear cache
- If youre still experiencing issues, tap Clear data too and press OK to confirm
Wipe the Cache Partition:
NOTE: If your phone doesnt work as intended and youre considering a factory reset, you should try fixing the problems by wiping the cache partition instead. Unlike a factory reset, wiping the cache will not remove any personal data stored on the internal memory.
- Turn off the device
- Press and hold Power
- After a couple of seconds, press and hold Volume Up too
- Release both buttons when you see the Select Boot Mode screen
- Make sure Recovery Mode is highlighted and press Volume Up to select the option
- In short time you should see an Android robot on the screen. Press and release Volume Up + Power at the same time
- The phone should now be in the Android System Recovery menu
- From here, press Volume down repeatedly to highlight wipe cache partition
- Press Power to select the option and clear the cache. When prompted, reboot your phone

Reboot in Safe Mode and Uninstall an App:
NOTE: In case one of your third party applications causes problems and prevents you from uninstalling it, you should be able to dispose of it from Safe Mode. In this mode all third party apps are disabled.
- Press and hold Power with the screen turned on
- From the pop-up, tap and hold Power off
- At the reboot to Safe Mode prompt, tap OK
- Wait for the phone to reboot. A Safe Mode label should be displayed on the home screen
- To uninstall the app, go to Settings
- Tap Apps under Device
- Swipe to Downloaded and select the desired app
- Tap Uninstall > OK
- To exit safe mode, reboot you phone as you normally would, by pressing and holding Power
