Via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data with the Huawei device and transfer the contacts in the process.

  1. Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes on the computer
  3. Click the iPhone to access the summary page
  4. Click the “Info” tab and turn on “Sync Contacts With”
  5. From the drop-down menu, select “Google Contacts”
  6. Sign in with your Google account, or alternatively, click “Configure” and select an existing one
  7. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  8. Once done, register the same Google account on the Huawei Union and allow the account to sync contacts with your device

Via iCloud:

NOTE: In case you have used iCloud to back up your iPhone data before, your contacts should also be backed up on your iCloud account. You can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in vCard file format for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Click “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to send and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. After the vCard file is downloaded on the computer, you can import it to “Google Contacts” or alternatively:
  7. Connect the Huawei Union to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard file to the phone storage, and import its contents via the “Contacts” app

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: While the methods above require access to a computer with an active Internet connection, you can also transfer your contacts using third party apps instead. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and transfer contacts via email.

  1. Open the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the application
  3. Tap “Backup” and a vCard file with your contacts will be created
  4. Tap “Email” to compose an email containing the vCard file as an attachment
  5. Send the email to your own address
  6. On the Huawei Union, open the email and download the attached vCard file
  7. Launch “Contacts” and use the app to import the vCard file’s contents to your phonebook

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Last but not least, “Send Anywhere” (iOS and Android) can be used to transfer contacts and other file types over a P2P connection, without needing a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Install the same app on the Huawei via the Google Play Store
  3. Open the app on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, choose a transfer method. For instance you can tap “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone, or “Receive” on the Huawei Union
