Using iTunes:

NOTE: If you have iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can use the application to sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Afterwards you can register the same account on the Asus device, and allow the account to sync contacts with your phone.

  1. Connect the iPhone to your PC via USB
  2. Launch iTunes on the computer
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone to access the device’s summary page
  4. Access the “Info” tab and turn on “Sync Contacts With”
  5. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  6. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an account from the list
  7. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  8. Once the sync is done, register the same Google account used in iTunes on the Asus Zenfone Zoom, and allow the account to sync contacts with your device

Using iCloud:

NOTE: If you have already used the iCloud backup service on your iPhone to back up your contacts, you can access your iCloud account on a computer with an active Internet connection, and export them in vCard file format for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and click “Contacts”
  4. Select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. Wait for the vCard to be downloaded on the computer
  7. Import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or alternatively, skip this step and instead:
  8. Connect the Asus Zenfone Zoom to your computer and copy the vCard to the phone storage. Then, use the “Contacts” application and the “Import” option to add the vCard’s contents to your phonebook

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Although the methods above require access to a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can use third party applications to transfer your contacts without requiring a computer. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and share contacts via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup”
  3. Once the backup file is created, tap “Email”
  4. Compose a new email with the vCard attached to it
  5. Send the email to your own address
  6. Switch to the Asus Zenfone Zoom and open the email
  7. Download the attached file, and import its contents using the “Contacts” app

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party application you can use for transferring your iPhone contacts is Send Anywhere (iOS and Android). The app uses a P2P connection to transfer contacts and other file types between smartphones without needing a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Play Store and install the app on the Asus Zenfone Zoom
  3. Launch the app on both handsets
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, choose a transfer method. You can tap “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone, or tap “Receive” on the Asus device and follow the on-screen prompts
