Back Up Data:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Open “Settings”
  3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Turn on “Back up my data” to back up account data, Wi-Fi passwords, and other settings to your Google account
  5. To allow your Google account to restore data automatically the next time you sign in with the account, enable “Automatic Restore”

Back Up Contacts Using a Google Account:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Launch “Settings”
  3. Scroll to “Accounts” and tap “Google”
  4. Select the account you want to use for the backup
  5. Ensure “Contacts” is turned on
  6. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

NOTE: Contacts that have been backed up using this method will be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your Google account.

Back Up Contacts to Storage:

  1. Open “Contacts”
  2. Go to “All Contacts”
  3. Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export”
  4. Tap to “Export to storage”
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm

NOTE: Make sure you remember the vCard file’s name for future use before tapping “OK”.

Restore Contacts from Storage:

  1. Launch “Contacts”
  2. Select “All Contacts”
  3. Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export”
  4. Select to “Import from storage”
  5. Wait for the device to finish searching the vCard
  6. Select the vCard you wish to import
  7. Follow the on-screen steps to complete

Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the Lava Fuel F1 to your PC via USB
  2. Swipe the “Status” bar down and make sure “Media device (MTP)” / “Media sync” is turned on
  3. On the PC, open the File Explorer
  4. Locate the media files on your phone and copy them
  5. Transfer the media files in the desired backup storage location on your PC
  6. After completing the transfer, eject the phone storage via system tray
  7. Safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Establish a USB connection between the phone and PC
  2. Drag the “Status” bar down and make sure “Media device (MTP)” is enabled
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the media files backed up on your PC
  5. Copy the files from the computer and transfer them back on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
  6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray
  7. Safely disconnect the phone from the USB connector
