Back Up Data:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open Settings
- Scroll to Personal and tap Backup & reset
- Turn on Back up my data to back up account data, Wi-Fi passwords, and other settings to your Google account
- To allow your Google account to restore data automatically the next time you sign in with the account, enable Automatic Restore
Back Up Contacts Using a Google Account:
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch Settings
- Scroll to Accounts and tap Google
- Select the account you want to use for the backup
- Ensure Contacts is turned on
- Tap Menu > Sync Now
NOTE: Contacts that have been backed up using this method will be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your Google account.
Back Up Contacts to Storage:
- Open Contacts
- Go to All Contacts
- Tap Menu > Import / Export
- Tap to Export to storage
- Tap OK to confirm
NOTE: Make sure you remember the vCard files name for future use before tapping OK.
Restore Contacts from Storage:
- Launch Contacts
- Select All Contacts
- Tap Menu > Import / Export
- Select to Import from storage
- Wait for the device to finish searching the vCard
- Select the vCard you wish to import
- Follow the on-screen steps to complete
Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Lava Fuel F1 to your PC via USB
- Swipe the Status bar down and make sure Media device (MTP) / Media sync is turned on
- On the PC, open the File Explorer
- Locate the media files on your phone and copy them
- Transfer the media files in the desired backup storage location on your PC
- After completing the transfer, eject the phone storage via system tray
- Safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Establish a USB connection between the phone and PC
- Drag the Status bar down and make sure Media device (MTP) is enabled
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the media files backed up on your PC
- Copy the files from the computer and transfer them back on the phone storage, preferably in the Media directory
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray
- Safely disconnect the phone from the USB connector
