Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync your account data, including contacts, with the Lenovo K5 Note.
- Use the Lightning cable to connect the iPhone to the PC
- Launch iTunes
- In iTunes, click your iPhone and access the Info tab
- Enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account, or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once the sync is done, switch to the Lenovo K5 Note
- Sign in with the same Google account and allow it to sync contacts with your Android device
Using iCloud:
NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts have already been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer with an Internet connection and export the contacts for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the PC
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
- Click Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to export
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- After the vCard is downloaded on the computer, import it to Google Contacts, or alternatively:
- Connect the Lenovo K5 Note to your computer via USB and use the Contacts app to import it
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the two methods above require access to a computer, you can also use third party apps to transfer your iPhone contacts without a PC. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and transfer contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app
- Tap Backup
- Once the backup file is created, tap Email
- Send the email and the vCard attachment to your own address
- Switch to the Lenovo device and download the email attachment
- Use the Contacts app to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third party app you can use to transfer contacts is Send Anywhere, available on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to transfer contacts and other types of files.
- Open the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Go to the Google Play Store and install the same app on the Lenovo K5 Note
- Open the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Tap Send
- Lastly, select a transfer method, such as Generate QR Code on the iPhone, or Receive on the Lenovo device, and follow the on-screen prompts
