Via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then, you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Zenfone 2 Deluxe.
- Connect the iPhone to your PC using the Lightning cable
- On the computer, open iTunes
- Once the iPhone is connected, click it in iTunes access the Info tab
- Enable Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Register you Google account in iTunes, or alternatively click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply and wait for the sync to complete
- Once done, register the same Google account on the Zenfone 2 Deluxe and allow it to sync contacts with your Android device
Using iCloud:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have already been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access your account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export your contacts in vCard file format for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your Google account
- Go to Contacts and select the contacts you want to export
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard has been downloaded on the PC, you can either import it to Google Contacts or, alternatively:
- Connect the Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe to your computer via USB, copy the vCard to the phone storage, and use the Contacts app to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share the contacts on your iPhone using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and share contacts via email.
- Visit the app store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup
- After the vCard is created, tap Email
- Write a new email and make sure the vCard backup file is attached
- Send the email to your own address, then switch to the Asus device
- Open the email on the Zenfone 2 Deluxe, and download the vCard attachment
- Use the Contacts app on the Android device to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use to transfer iPhone contacts without needing a computer. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection and can be used to transfer a variety of file types.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the Asus device
- Open the application on both handsets
- Tap Send on the iPhone
- Tap Contacts and select the desired contacts
- Tap Send again, and finish the process by selecting a transfer method such as Generate QR Code on the iPhone, or Receive on the Asus device
