Sync iPhone Contacts With Google via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the XOLO device.
- Connect the iPhone to your computer via the Lightning cable
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Access the Info section and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or alternatively, click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to begin the sync
- Once the sync is done, switch to the XOLO Era 2 and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and go to Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- After the vCard is downloaded on the computer, follow one of the steps below:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the XOLO Era 2 to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and import the file to your phonebook using Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can transfer your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third party app that can be used to back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup to create a vCard backup file of your iPhone contacts
- Tap Email to compose a new email
- Make sure the vCard backup file is attached to the email and send the email to your own address
- Switch to the XOLO Era 2 and open the email
- Download the vCard attachment and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app for iOS and Android, which uses a peer-2-peer connection to transfer iPhone contacts cross-platform without requiring a computer.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- On the XOLO Era 2, go to the Google Play Store and install the same app on the device
- Open the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts to share and tap Send
- Finally, choose a transfer method such as Generate QR Code on the iPhone or Receive on the XOLO Era 2. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
