Sync iPhone Contacts with Google Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data and contacts with your Archos device.
- Establish a USB connection between the iPhone and computer
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Click your iPhone and go to Info
- Turn on Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account, or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to begin the sync
- After the sync is done, switch to the Archos Diamond 2 Plus and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have already been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in vCard format.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard has been downloaded on the computer, follow one of these steps:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Archos Diamond 2 Plus to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and use Contacts to import it
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: The two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, but alternatively you can use third party applications to transfer contacts. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and transfer contacts via email.
- Install Send Anywhere on the iPhone via the App Store
- Launch the app
- Tap Backup to create a vCard backup file containing your iPhone contacts
- Once done, tap Email
- Make sure the vCard is attached to the email and send it to your own address
- Switch to the Archos device and open the email
- Download the vCard attachment and use Contacts to import it
Via Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere for iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types cross-platform without requiring a PC.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the Archos Diamond 2 Plus via the Google Play Store
- Launch the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Lastly, select the desired transfer method, such as Generate QR Code on the iPhone or Receive on the Archos, and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
