Back Up App Data:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Personal”
  4. Turn on “Back up my data” to back up Wi-Fi passwords, app settings and data to your Google account
  5. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow your account to restore data automatically the next time you sign in with your Google backup account

Back Up Contacts on a Google Account:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Launch “Settings”
  3. Go to “Accounts” and tap “Google”
  4. Select the account you want to sync contacts with
  5. Ensure “Contacts” is enabled
  6. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

NOTE: Contacts backed up using the steps above will be restored automatically the next time you sign in with your Google account.

Back Up Contacts to Storage:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Launch “Contacts” and go to “All Contacts”
  3. Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export”
  4. Tap “Export to storage”
  5. Make sure you recall the backup file’s name for future use
  6. Tap “OK”

Restore Contacts from Storage:

  1. Launch “Contacts”
  2. Access “All Contacts”
  3. Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export”
  4. Select to “Import from storage”
  5. Wait for the device to finish scanning the storage and select the vCard you want to import
  6. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the process

Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the ZTE Avid Trio to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “Media Sync (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media files on the phone
  4. Copy the files and transfer them in the desired backup location on the PC
  5. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Establish a USB connection between the ZTE device and computer
  2. Turn on “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the media backup files on the PC storage and copy them
  5. Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) they originate from
  6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
