Sync iPhone Contacts with Google Using iTunes:
NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access in order to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data and contacts with the BLU Studio XL2.
- Connect the iPhone to your computer using the Lightning cable
- Launch iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone once connected
- Go to the Info section and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account. Alternatively, you can click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once the sync is complete, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
- Set the account so that it can sync contacts with your Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If the contacts on your iPhone are backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer with an active Internet connection and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
- Access Contacts and select the desired contacts
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard has been downloaded on the PC, perform one of these steps:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the BLU Studio XL2 to your computer using the USB cord, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import it
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can transfer iPhone contacts using third party apps, such as My Contacts Backup on iOS. The app can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Launch the app and tap Backup to create a vCard backup file of your iPhone contacts
- After the backup file is done, tap Email
- Compose a new email and ensure the vCard backup file is attached
- Send the email and attachment to your own address
- Next, switch to the BLU Studio XL2, open the email and download the attached vCard
- Use Contacts to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to transfer different file types including contacts cross platform without requiring a PC.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Go to the Google Play Store and install the app on the BLU device
- Launch the app on both handsets
- Tap Send > Contacts on the iPhone
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Lastly, choose a transfer method and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
