Back Up App Data:

  1. Open the apps drawer and launch “Settings”
  2. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
  3. Turn on “Back up my data” to back up app data and settings to your Google account
  4. Turn on “Automatic restore” to allow app data to be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your Google backup account

Back Up Contacts:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Scroll to and tap “Accounts”
  3. Select an account type and the account you want to use for syncing contacts
  4. Tick the “Contacts” check box if necessary
  5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be automatically restored the next time you log in to your Google backup account on the phone.

Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

  1. Establish a USB connection between the BLU Studio XL2
  2. Turn on “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer and use the Explorer to locate the media files on the phone
  4. Copy the files and transfer them in the desired backup location on the PC storage
  5. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

Restore Media Files form a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the BLU Studio XL2 to your computer via USB
  2. Turn on “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media Device (MTP)” when prompted or from the “notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media file backups on the PC storage
  4. Copy the backup files and transfer them on the phone storage (preferably in the “Media” directory or the folders they originate from)
  5. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray
  6. You can now safely disconnect the device from the USB port
