A friend has just purchased her first SmartPhone (Alcatel Pixi 4 - 6") and has asked for my help. I'm unfamiliar with Android phones so am having difficulty with some aspects of her phone.

When I want to stop recently used Apps on my iPhone from running in the background, I double click on the home button and then swipe upwards on each App.

Is there a similar feature in the Alcatel Pixi 4 - 6" phone and, if so, what process do I use?
