Back Up and Restore App Data:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Launch “Settings”
  3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, Wi-Fi passwords, settings etc. to your Google account
  5. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data to be automatically restored when reinstalling apps or signing in with your backup account

Back Up and Restore Contacts:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access “Accounts”
  3. Select an account type
  4. Tap the account you want to use for contact syncing
  5. Enable “Contacts” and tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

NOTE: You can also restore contacts the next time you sign in with your Google account.

Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Micromax device to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Copy and transfer the media files in the desired backup location on the PC storage
  5. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Micromax phone to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC
  4. Locate and copy the media backup files on the PC storage
  5. Transfer the media files back on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder or the directories from which they originate
  6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
