Back Up and Restore App Data:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Scroll to “Personal”
  3. Tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings and Wi-Fi passwords to your Google account
  5. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data to be restored automatically the next time you sign in with your Google backup account

Back Up and Restore Contacts:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Scroll to and tap “Accounts”
  3. Select an account type
  4. Select the account you want to use for contact syncing
  5. Enable “Contacts” if necessary
  6. Then tap “Menu” > “Sync now”

NOTE: Contacts backed up using the method above can be restored automatically the next time you sign in with your backup account.

Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Micromax device to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the media files on the phone storage
  5. Copy and transfer the media files in the desired backup location on the PC
  6. After the transfer completes, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Micromax device to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the media file backups on the PC storage
  5. Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) from where they originate
  6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray
  7. You can safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
